In fact, waiting around for your sites to download is the most annoying thing about Web Dumper but with pages containing so much content nowadays, it can be forgiven for that. As you can imagine, for sites that are contain huge media files, this can take a rather long time. Web Dumper automatically downloads HTML documents along with their embedded pictures, sounds, movies etc. Web Dumper does it in such a way however that all links and file structures are kept in tact so it's just like browsing a site as if you were online. That's the aim of Web Dumper which lets you download entire web sites off of the Internet, and save them on your hard drive for later offline browsing. Nowadays of course, especially with WiFi hotspots everywhere, that's not so necessary although there are always times - like reading on a plane or other modes of transport when it would be useful to be able tor read content offline. In the days before broadband, I would often painstakingly save pages from a website one-by-one until I was offline so I could read them at my own leisure without worrying about clocking up my parents phone bill. ![]()
